over the summer what happened?..lemme think. i saw my mommys haha thats always a good/bad thinq to do, but i still love her. i know she trys. so i was with her pretty much the whole summer. i met her boyfriend (of now 8 months) Jimmy. he owns a car lot, sellinq&buyinq cars. i met some friends over the break, some arnt my friends now but heyy i dont mind i met&greet people all the time, doesnt bother me. umm i got hella tan over the summer haha i qot back and my friends said some pretty humorus things that i wont be repeatinq haha. umm thats all i really did over the summer. most days were; wake up, swim, shower, movies, sleep, and that happend everyday when i wasnt up to something else.

now for a week i was in ocean city with my mom, brother, aunt tracy and her two kids. that was a fun week haha i qot to drink as much as i wanted with my mom and aunt haha qood times mann, we just sat there with a great veiw commentinq on people and the little thinqs in life. it was good. same thing happened there too, wake up, go down to the beach, tan&swim, then showered, bed, woke up and did it all over aqain haha. man i love ocean city.

then after i qot back from ocean city i went down to west V to visit my dads side of the family. i was there for two weeks, one week i was down in myrtle beach with my grandma tina & grandpa gale, two little annoyinq girls and a preqo cutter. god can you tell i was happy? huh? well that beach is not as qood as ocean city so i stayed up near the pool and tanned. but on other news i qot to make a bulid-a-bear! that was the highlight to that trip. hes a lacrosse bear :) oh and i qot to drink a little ont that trip to. i needa be tipppsee when im in that group haha. then i went back to west v but when we qot there my grandpa smoke&greasted the house so i had to stay at my cousins for the second week i was there that was funn i got to go to parties and we played video games all night haha.

then i went back to my moms and stayed there and did the same thing as before, wake-up, swim&tan, shower, movies, sleep.

well i think thats enouqht for this post haha, that was pretty much my summer haha now moving on. btw the picture is the “great view” we had in ocean city hahaha

one more day till my school gets out! and im ready for summer!!

sorry that its really lame and not in detail. im tired and want to take a nap. so im going to go do that then clean the kitchen. hella fucken tired. so this is most likely good night for me.

June 03, 2009 – The words “breast cancer” often carry the connotation of fear and hopelessness.

They sometimes bring tears to the eyes of those who have lost someone to the fight or been close to someone who has.

They serve the function of pulling off the invisibility cloaks of their victims, reminding people that, yes, this disease is real, and it can happen to you.

But, for the girls of Oxford Soccer Club’s U-11 team, the words “breast cancer” remind them of what it means to have friends and family, people who care about them and are there for them.

These 12 girls, though they are young, now know the true meaning of love and togetherness, and it’s all because they wanted a chance to show their friend and teammate, Olivia Thompson, how much they cared for her when she found out her mother had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

“We found out right before the season started,” said Coach Dan Williams. “We were deciding what we were going to do, but we wanted the focus to be on getting better. We didn’t want the girls to be so sad.”

Williams took the initiative to buy a breast cancer awareness band for every girl on the team along with a Race for the Cure ball that they play with at every home game. At the end of the season, they are all going to sign it and give it to Olivia’s mother, Karen.

“From there, Stacey Eschberger took it a step further and said lets register the team for Race for the Cure. She designed shirts, came up with Karen’s Kickers and it’s been the best thing,” said Williams.

Every girl on the team participated in the race with their mothers, Olivia and Karen included. “It makes you feel so good, like we can actually save her or something,” said Katelin Cramer, 11.

All the girls on the team agreed that they felt lucky to have the opportunity to help their friend and her mom whom they have all grown so close to over the years. “It’s just so amazing how tight-knit and close together we are,” said Williams.

And while it may take some a lifetime or longer to learn the meaning of loyalty and friendship, it seems these girls have conquered it in a short, two-word lesson, “breast cancer.”

This is most apparent in Grace Frieberg, 10, who is one of the youngest girls on the team. She said that their goal as a team was just to make sure that Olivia and her mom were safe.

“I mean, a lot of people don’t have friends to help them when their parents are sick or when something is wrong. But we’re not like those people,” she said. “All of us are here to help Olivia and her mom.”

In a previous interview with WDIV, Karen revealed that she had been ignoring her doctor’s recommendation for a mammogram. As a mother of four, it just wasn’t one of her pressing priorities.

“I never would have found it, and I never would have gone,” she said. But, it was a giftcard incentive that drove Thompson to her test.

Although the team does not want all the attention and focus to be on her, it is important to get the word out so people know the danger and the reality.

“It’s more about awareness,” said Williams. “Our focus is on soccer, but always in the back of our mind we’re just there for each other.”

“When I’m sad they all come to me and support me, and I think that’s the best thing,” said Olivia. “Just being there for me and my mom.”

Welcome to this place called Earth. I know for you it’s a whole different world, but Im thinking you’ll like it here. Your mother is the one to have, everyone knows how much you mean to her already..and your not even out yet! I wounder what you’ll look like..more like your beautiful mother or your handsome father. Either one would do. When you fall into their lives, we’ll never let you fall any farther then the watching eyes of your darling mother. Shes waiting for you to come out and say hello, to say mommy, to say those three words that mean the word to each mother; I love you. You’ll never be alone, she’ll always be there for you. You’ll never be scared, she’ll always protect you. Always love and hold you. Your one lucky baby I must say, both your parents have been waiting for this day. To love and feed you. Watch you grow and take off into the world your just now are coming into. To say you’ll have all their love is an understatement. I have nothing more to say, but I cant believe your on your way! I am so exicted that your going to stay, with all of us! I love your parents and im sure to love you!
